Decision Logic has launched two new back-of-house products — Vitals and ShiftFlow — designed to give restaurant managers actionable performance data and a structured task workflow while a shift is still underway, rather than surfacing problems in end-of-day reports.

The Omaha-based company frames both tools around a persistent operator pain point: managers often learn what went wrong only after they have lost the ability to fix it. Current partners include multi-unit brands such as Golden Corral, Taco John's, Twin Peaks, 54th Street Restaurants, and RibCrib BBQ.

What the Products Do

Vitals delivers 34 near-real-time metrics organized across four operational categories: 14 performance indicators (sales vs. forecast, average check trends), 11 labor metrics (schedule adherence, overtime approach), five productivity measures, and four adjustment-risk signals covering voids and discounts. The dashboard is designed to function as an early-warning system — surfacing a labor overrun or a missed traffic forecast while a manager still has levers to pull, without requiring a trip to the back-office terminal.

ShiftFlow addresses the execution side of that equation. The mobile-first workflow tool consolidates recurring and ad-hoc tasks — scheduled orders, inventories, line checks, maintenance, closing activities, manager reminders, and notification reminders — into a single interface. Tasks can be pushed from above-store leaders, triggered automatically from existing schedules, or created by managers on the floor. The product was explicitly designed with manager turnover in mind: with 28% of restaurant managers turning over annually, ShiftFlow's documented, repeatable process aims to compress the ramp time for new hires and drive consistency across locations without relying on institutional memory.

Integration and Availability

ShiftFlow launches without a POS dependency, lowering the integration barrier for operators across varied technology stacks. Vitals will launch with integrations for Toast and Qu, with additional POS connections on the roadmap. Both products are available now, with beta customers already live.

"Vitals answers, 'How are we doing?' ShiftFlow answers, 'What needs to happen next?'" said Keegan Conrey, CEO of Decision Logic. "Put those together and you give managers a much better chance to change the outcome of a shift instead of explaining the outcome after it's over."

Market Context

The launch lands squarely in a crowded but still-expanding segment: real-time labor management and back-office analytics for multi-unit foodservice operators. Competitors ranging from Crunchtime to Restaurant365 have been building out similar shift-visibility capabilities, while POS-native platforms like Toast have layered labor alerts into their core dashboards. Decision Logic's angle is the combination of granular operational risk signals with a structured manager workflow — a pairing that mirrors the broader industry push to reduce the cognitive load on hourly and salaried managers dealing with persistent staffing volatility.

The products will be demonstrated live at FSTEC 2026, the hospitality technology industry's flagship fall conference, giving Decision Logic a high-visibility launch window in front of multi-unit operators and above-store leaders evaluating back-of-house software heading into 2027 planning cycles.
